Golf in a tropical rainforest? Pretty much. The course winds beneath Oʻahu’s dramatic Koʻolau Mountains, the remains of an ancient volcano, through scenery so prehistoric you half expect a dinosaur to walk out of the jungle. And depending on when you visit, you just might see one.

There are more than 150 named glaciers in the greater Prince William Sound region. Mountains plunge into the sea, waterfalls appear with the summer snowmelt, and enormous pieces of ancient ice still break into the water. Creation feels especially big here.

CURIOUS?

A Few Things You Might Be Wondering

  • How do you choose the places and stories you feature?

We follow curiosity. Some stories come from well-known destinations, while others are places, people, and experiences we discover along the way. We look for stories that make us stop, look closer, and want to experience more of the world.

  • Is all of the photography and video original?

Most of what you see is captured firsthand by Inspired by the World. As we grow, we may also feature work from photographers, filmmakers, creators, and local storytellers who share our curiosity for the world.

  • Are your stories sponsored by destinations?

Sometimes. We may work with tourism organizations, destinations, and experience providers to tell their stories. Paid or hosted partnerships will be clearly identified, and we aim to feature places and experiences we genuinely believe are worth discovering.

  • Can I suggest a place, person, or experience for you to feature?

Absolutely. Some of the best stories are the ones most people don't know about yet. If there's a remarkable place, tradition, person, experience, or story you think we should discover, we'd love to hear about it.
